Clarity and transparency is essential for a successful interior design project. Here, we’ve addressed the questions we're asked most often, from timelines to fees.

Do you work with clients outside of Southern California?

Yes! Our non-local clients receive the same dedicated support and onsite attention when it matters most. Communication takes place virtually and via email. And we will provide you with a personalized travel budget before finalizing the contract, outlining the number of times we plan to meet in person.

What design services do you offer?

We offer full service interior design and our ‘Designer on Call’ program for à la carte projects. You can read more about the services we offer here.

What sets you apart from other design firms?

We are committed to delivering unparalleled quality and an eye for perfection in every detail of a project. From meticulous measurements to inspection of every piece of furniture and item that arrives, we scrutinize all elements of a project. We also deeply value the privilege of designing your home—and take seriously the significance of this responsibility, we ensure that every design is a reflection of you and your family.

I’m so excited to have my home finished! How long will my project take?

Each project has its own timeline and we like to be very realistic on how long a project will take. We like to work as efficiently and quickly as possible to get you settled into your home. In the beginning, as we figure out the detailed scope for the overall project, we help put together a general schedule and adjust as needed. For most renovation and new construction projects, these can take anywhere from 6 to 24 months whereas furnishing projects usually take 4 to 12 months.

I don’t see my interior design style in your portfolio. Can you do my style?

We cater each interior design project to the individual needs and styles of our clients. If you don't see your exact style in our work, that’s because we haven’t had you as a client yet! We focus on your specific style and creating your home within that look and feel in the best way possible. Our clients always say that we captured exactly what they wanted at the first go!

What’s the design process like?

Often we get the question, “How does the interior design process work?” There are several important steps to the design process to ensure we are a perfect fit for you and your family. First, fill out our contact form or email us at info@victoriaholly.com with a little bit more about your project. And you can read more about our detailed process here.

Do you have established relationships with vendors or workrooms?

We are fortunate to have built a curated roster of exceptional vendors, trades, and workrooms. From wallpaper hanging to custom furniture to specialty painting to window treatments, we have wonderful tradespeople that we work with every day. We consider them an extension of our team!

How much does interior design cost?

Our first step with you is to get an understanding of your project scope, timeline, and budget and from there we work out a budget for the entire project for everything from electrical work to design fee to throw pillows - we want to ensure we have everything factored. Once we discuss the scope of the project, we will provide you with an estimated fee. We work on an hourly basis with invoicing each month. Our quote will vary on your square footage, style, amount of furniture pieces, and the type of project.

How big is the team?

Our team is led by Victoria Holly, owner and designer, who oversees the entire creative process and design curation. Assisting Victoria is our project manager, Nikki, who coordinates all vendors, tradespeople, and item inventories. Additionally, our junior interior designer Dominic provides support for all creative execution while our drafter Alena is responsible for all plans, renderings, and drafting. Our finishes installer Ian manages all onsite installations.
